Luna the Sloth and Carmen the bunny were coming back from school. They walked along the path next to the river, their backpacks slung over their shoulders and empty lunchboxes in hand, exhausted after a long day at school.

The sound of rushing water provided a soothing background to their playful chatter as they bent down to dip their fingers in the cool, clear stream.

As they walked, they couldn't resist the temptation to splash each other, sending droplets of water flying in all directions. Their laughter echoed through the tranquil surroundings.

It was finally Friday! They were super excited about the weekend and couldn't wait to relax and play all day. They planned to take a quick break to eat, drink, refuel, and enjoy the weekend together.

They heard a new sound coming from high in the tree as they headed home. As they inspected, they saw a bird that looked like a young female toucan, but her language sounded different. Her singing had a unique and peculiar tone that was quite fascinating.

Luna, the sloth, and Carmen the mischievous little bunny, couldn't resist and stopped to talk to the visitor. They greeted her and introduced themselves.

The new friend responded with a cheerful "Ello, Ello!" "Hail Up" and introduced herself as Michellina from Jamaica. She explained that she and her family were visiting relatives in Costa Rica.

Carmen and Luna exclaimed, "From Jaaa-mai-caa? Where is Jamaica?" Michellina explained that Jamaica is a beautiful island in the Caribbean. It is surrounded by sandy beaches with crystal-clear water. There are lush green mountains and the most delicious mangos for the taking; the sounds of reggae music can be heard on every corner, creating a magical and charming way of life where Bob Marley is king.

Michellina informed Luna and Carmen that she planned to spend three weeks in La Fortuna but didn't have anyone to play with. She also said she missed her best friend, Sherry, in Jamaica. Luna and Carmen reassured the young toucan, saying, "Don't worry, friend. We will play with you every afternoon after school, and we can begin our adventures this weekend."

Luna and Carmen reunited with Michellina the following morning at the same meeting spot. Michellina's uncle was also present, a distinguished and refined toucan who was eager to meet his niece's new friends. His name was Cristobal, and he appeared to be a wise and caring uncle.

He bid the girls goodbye, and they set off for an adventure. Luna and Carmen were excited to show Michellina everything in their beautiful forest. They started by heading to the river for a refreshing dip, but as they got closer, a thunderstorm rolled in, and their plans had to change.

Thunderstorms were common during this time of year in the lush forests of Costa Rica. Because of the weather, they headed to Carmen's house instead. A bunny's house is an exciting place to play because it has many entrances and hiding spots to play hide and seek.

But Luna and Carmen were determined to learn more about Jamaica before playtime. They wanted to learn about any similarities between Jamaica and La Fortuna. Also, they were thrilled to hear Michellina speak, as they were captivated by her fascinating accent and distinctive way of naming things.

Michellina agreed to tell them more about Jamaica's exotic animals and warm people; Luna and Carmen were captivated by her words. The thought of swimming in the crystal-clear ocean filled their minds with excitement and wonder. They felt inspired to visit this picturesque place one day, which reminded them of their beloved forest in La Fortuna.

This newfound friendship was full of joy and curiosity about each other's world. Meeting and embracing a new friend from a foreign land fascinated the little bunny and sloth from Costa Rica.

After the girls learned everything about Jamaica, the three friends played hide and seek until it was time for supper.
