Well-meaning people say,

The unwelcomed shadow of fear is traveling alongside

This pathetic companion believes it's protecting you from harm.

Your insecurities are what nourishes it,

Providing it a fertile ground to thrive.

Naysayers and critics complement its intent

But it's only keeping you from achieving success.

But I tell you again, my dear

Be Brave, take risks, and chase this dread away.

You are strong; you can do this; I know you can!

Spread your wings, and take chances.

You did it once before!

Don't mind this awful servant; it will never go away

Despite its heavy chains of doubts and indecision,

You have the power to excel

Use its menacing energy to recharge yourself

There is no stopping you once you recognize its smell

You will climb mountains and face the storm

You will engage in battle against monsters and shadows

You will be victorious despite feeling afraid

You can do this even when you are scared

And if you fail, it's not the end; it's just like a dance

Practice will give you authority, and you will shine
